Heimishe Evening
Over 100 people gathered at Clore Tikva School in Barkingside for a Heimishe Evening - complete with lashings of salt beef, latkes and even a real Jewish comedian: Sol Bernstein, whose Heimishe humour must have been honed at the Edinburgh Fringe. Over £1500 was raised for Shaare Zedek and thanks to Louise Stevenson and Fran Barnesand and their team for organising and running the event, not to mention cutting up over 500 new green cucumbers and ensuring the success of the event!
